Complete System Shutdowns and Backfeeds

One of the most complex issues is the tie-in of new piping systems into existing piping systems. Even though systems must be shut down in part or whole within the facility, medical gases must still be administered to patients. Following the tie-in, each station outlet downstream from the tie-in must be purged until there is assurance that each terminal’s gas is >99% in concentration.

To provide the safe and efficient performance of this service, Certified Medical Testing maintains a complete line of backfeed equipment (Includes Pressure Regulators, Cylinder Safety Equipment, Cylinder Transport Units, & Gas Adapters) plus a developed protocol for equipment use and work procedures. The task is done quickly by CMT personnel thereby making the shutdown tie-in procedure virtually painless. The company’s service program is capable of shutting down the largest system available.
